Busy busy busy
It's coming up to the end of semester and I'm busy finishing all of my projects. I always have trouble committing to an idea so I always end up changing my project multiple times before the due date. As usual I've waited until it is nearly due to really commit to a concept and apply myself to putting it down on paper. Just like every semester I will do eighty percent of the work in the final two weeks. The rush at the deadline is all part of the fun of being a design student I suppose.
The photos are of my dining room table at the moment; covered in water colour paints and floor plans as I render my presentation drawings. There are also some beautiful white lilies that my boyfriend gave me for our anniversary on the table. They continue to look fresh into the wee hours of the morning when I am looking less than my best.

Tableaux d'intimité
New York
Amsterdam
Prague
Ile de Ré
These are some beautiful photo collections of lit windows in different cities by Anne-Laure Maison. I saw them a few days ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about them so I thought I would share them. So intimate and beautiful.

Dreams of Flying
Lately all I can think about is travelling. I'm so happy for everyone who has a chance to travel but also incredibly jealous. I'm almost finished school and then I will be able to save up a bit and begin adventuring.
The first few dream locations right now are:
- Japan and Mount Fuji
- India
- New Zealand
I want to pack up my hiking boots and raincoat and head out. My pack has been patiently waiting since I got it for my birthday a few years ago. It has yet to experience adventure and is just itching to go.
Someone told me that planning trips, no matter how realistic they are, is a healthy habit that will keep you happier. I must be a very happy person.

Some School Work
Hand painted graphic on wood veneer.
Corner binding with chicago screw
Material intentions
Preliminary planning
Site sketches
This is a research book that I did for my studio class. I'm designing a music venue with a restaurant and a small store. This booklet was just some of my first thoughts about site, programme, location, materials and branding. The book is 5"x7" so it's nice and small. I was really happy with how it turned out.

Cool Nights Mexican Chilli
This recipe is from a cookbook called Sunday Soups by Betty Rosbottom. It is one of my favourite recipes from the book. It's such a cosy and flavourful chilli with chipotle peppers and corn. Perfect for a cold night.
